Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms of Reference, the following definitions shall apply:
a) “Township” means the Municipal Corporation of the Township of Tay;
b) “Committee” means the Heritage Committee;
c) “Council” means the governing body of the Township;
d) “Councillor” means an elected official of the Township, including the Mayor;
e) “Heritage” means properties of cultural heritage value or interest under Parts
IV and V of the Ontario Heritage Act;

Committee of the Whole
Tay Township advances design direction for Waubaushene Fire Hall expansion.
The Committee of the Whole will review monthly departmental reports, approve a $2,943.79 tax adjustment, and discuss the future of Tay Libraries following a review committee's final report. Staff will also present updated dog licensing rules that shift to a 365-day annual system with a $25 fee. Additionally, the committee will hear a water quality monitoring update from the Severn Sound Environmental Association and follow up on development charges for a Port McNicoll property.
- Endorse community space component and direct detailed design for Waubaushene Fire Hall Addition/Renovation project.
- Approve $2,943.79 in 2026 Q1 tax adjustments.

Council considers major fee hikes for building permits and planning applications
Council will hear a presentation from Hemson Consulting on a full cost recovery analysis for building and planning fees, proposing significant increases to close a combined shortfall of nearly $500,000 per year. They will also consider a petition to prohibit motorized vehicles on the Tay Shore Trail and approve $1,000 grants to local legions and lions clubs.
