Actions and decisions made by governments in the past have left many Indigenous communities untrusting of the Canadian healthcare system. It is our collective responsibility to keep this at the forefront of our minds as we make decisions. Since the decisions we make have a direct impact on the physical and mental well-being of all community members, Indigenous and non-Indigenous. Agenda item 6.1.1 was the traffic-related air pollution study with the University of the Fraser Valley. Questions from directors related to budget allocations, outcomes and scope. And staff responded that funds are budgeted for air quality projects. This is an exploratory study and the FERD would like to support UFB in their work to address air quality.
