Committee of the Whole - Open

Council to approve $2,500 Gold sponsorship for DFM Resident Retreat

The Committee of the Whole will consider council indemnities and a delegation update on the WSP PR215 functional design. It will review a sponsorship request from the Beausejour Otter’s Swim Club with four contribution levels, and discuss the upcoming MARR Spring Tour in Portage La Prairie on May 28, 2026. The meeting also includes a Haystack Productions dress rehearsal invitation, a public liaison committee meeting in Pinawa, and resolutions to fund the Rural Interest Group and Rural Week ($65‑$75 per student) and to sponsor the University of Manitoba Family Medicine Resident Retreat at the Gold level ($2,500).

The council will hold a public hearing on the 2026 Financial Plan and then adopt it. A public hearing will also be held for Rezoning By‑Law No. 2275‑26, and several by‑law readings, including a zoning amendment, will be considered. New business includes a support request for an access‑management plan on PTH 44, a subdivision application, an agreement with the Nature Conservancy, and a land annexation to the Town of Beausejour.
