The Moose River watershed, the water that flows from our region to the James Bay, is the traditional land and home of the Cree, Ojibwe and Oji-Cree. It is the responsibility of the community of Smooth Rock Falls to recognize Treaty 9 and to remain accountable to the land and our relationship with the Indigenous peoples that have lived and continue to live here.
