Thank you. Have the members had a chance to look at tonight's agenda? Yes. Any errors or omissions? Okay. On to the next agenda item. Okay. Are there any disclosures of pecuniary interest? No? Okay. On to the next agenda item. And have you had a chance to look at the minutes from the previous meeting? Any additions or amendments? I will need a mover and seconder for the approval of the minutes. Move. Perfect. All in favour? Carried. Be it resolved that the Committee of Adjustment adopts the minutes of the July 6th, 2026 meeting as circulated. The first application that we'll hear tonight is application number A2026-08. The first application is a minor variance application to obtain relief from sections 3.29 E and section 3.3. 4.3.4 D of the zoning bylaw. This is being requested to permit a reduced setback between a septic tank or field and a watercourse. In this case, it is a municipal drain from 30 metres to 15. 6 metres from the high watermark of the drain. The second variance is to permit an accessory building being a shipping container in an institutional zone. Shipping containers are not currently permitted within this zone. The requested variances would facilitate a septic system in the preferred location for an accessory dwelling on the property. And permit a shipping container in this institutional zone to be used for accessory storage of materials for their main use. Being a church in this case. The applicants are in the process of designing and undergoing a building …

And now I'll ask Carl to see if he works. Okay. Thank you, through you, Mr. Mayor. So for several years now, the township of South Stormont has been engaged in discussions with St. Lawrence Parks Commission regarding the potential transfer of several lands located with the municipality spanning between Long Sioux and Ingleside. Good evening, everyone, and welcome to our regular meeting of May 27th. I will now call the meeting to order, and Councillor Woods gives her regrets that she will not make it this evening. And the next item on the agenda is a confirmation of the agenda, and I'll ask if there's any changes to our agenda this evening. There are no changes this evening, Mr. Mayor. Good. I'll ask Council if they wish to disclose a pecuniary interest or any conflict or anything of the nature of their health. Seeing none, we do have two delegations this evening. The first delegation is by Lisa, of course, Lisa Dupro and Kathy Ashby. It's a state of emergency for food insecurity, and I'll ask who's going to speak first. Kathy, come up to the podium, or you can both come up at the same time if you wish, and you can start. Anyone can start. Good evening. I'm Kathy Ashby, Executive Director of House of Lazarus. House of Lazarus is a non-profit organization that works with our community to ensure that people have the basics in life. Our food banks and many outreach programs offer food, clothing, household goods, furniture, and housing supports to those in need. House of Lazarus strives to fill in the gaps of services and resources in our rural communities through our programs addressing food and housing insecurity . We operate food banks in both Mountain and Ingleside, and last year we fed 907 people through our food banks. 2022 were through our Ingleside food bank. Visits to our food banks increased by …

Good evening, everyone. I'd like to call to order the April 22nd regular meeting of Council. I'll be chairing tonight's meeting on behalf of Mayor McG illis, who sends his regrets. Madam Clerk, do we have any changes to the agenda? There are no changes to the agenda this evening. Do any members of Council wish to disclose a conflict of interest? Seeing none, we'll move straight to delegations, and we have Jim Brunel here with us tonight, President of the Lost Villages Historical Association. Nice to see you again, Jim. Thank you, Mr. Mayor and Council. Thank you for this opportunity to once again address you. It seems like yesterday that I was here with the annual report, but something has surfaced that needs some attention from Council, and that's why I was encouraged by the Recreation Director to write the concerns to Council. So I'm going to, I believe you all have a copy of the letter, but I'd like to go through it, just for the record, and make a few comments as I go from paragraph to paragraph . So I wrote, Dear Mr. Amalot, I write to you on behalf of the Lost Vill ages Historical Society concerning the renewal of the agreement between the municipality and the historical society for the operation of a museum at Old Park, South Stormont. With this letter, we formally request that the agreement between the township of South Stormont and the Lost Vill ages Historical Society be renewed for another five years. First, I wish to commend and congratulate the municipality on th …
